BUILDING A ROBUST CMS EDITING EXPERIENCE

In order to support a responsive, dynamic content platform, we built a CMS and editing experience from the ground up. Extensive research, wire-framing, prototyping and usability testing delivered an easy to use set of tools for our users.

A LEAN STARTUP FOR GOOD: BRINGING A SMART WATER BOTTLE TO MARKET

I worked with a Seattle area startup to bring a unique product to life: a smart water bottle that measures your daily hydration, and tracks it through a mobile app. For every hydration goal you meet, we donate to Charity: Water so that others can enjoy clean, safe drinking water.

INTRODUCING DESIGN SPRINTS ON AN ENTERPRISE SCALE

At CDK Global we rolled out Design Sprints on a large scale. I worked with senior leaders to understand the process and the benefits, and I executed Design Sprints on high profile projects to generate quick wins and build a design first culture.

Not every project is a candidate for a Design Sprint, but all can benefit from a strong design process. I've developed templates and processes so my team can quickly spin up collaborative design exercises, to facilitate user-centered design.

BUILDING CUTURE

BUILDING UX RESEARCH CAPABILITIES AND PROCESSES TO IMPROVE PRODUCT DESIGN

I've been working to build a strong UX research culture. This has included hiring a full time researcher, securing funding for usertesting.com, and educating the business on the value of UX research.

After a two year journey, I'm happy to say that UX research is now a standard part of the product design process, and the value of my teams work is clearly understood.
